Frequently Asked Questions
What is an A3 DTG printer?
An A3 DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printer is a flatbed textile printer capable of printing full-color graphic designs directly onto fabric products (such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and tote bags) up to A3 size (297x420mm / 11.7x16.5 inches). To see our featured single-pass A3 flatbed model, check out the F85G3 A3 DTG Printer.
How much does an A3 DTG printer cost?
GNFEI offers factory-direct pricing starting under $3,000 for full packages, which includes the printer machine, RIP software, and initial startup configurations. To request an exact price quote for shipping to your country, visit the F85G3 DTG T-Shirt Machine Product Page.
Can A3 DTG printers print white ink on dark t-shirts?
Yes. Our A3 t-shirt printers support white ink channels. In dark fabric mode, the RIP software outputs a solid white undercoat first and then overlays the CMYK color layer immediately. The flagship GNFEI F85G3 DTG Printer features an advanced automatic white ink stirring and circulation system to keep the heavy titanium dioxide pigments suspended and prevent nozzle clogging.
What is the difference between Epson L805 and XP600 printhead configurations?
The Epson L805 configuration is a single-printhead setup, making it highly affordable, easy to maintain, and perfect for low-volume startups printing under 20 shirts per day. The XP600 setup is a dual-printhead commercial system (one head for white ink, one for CMYK colors) that prints up to three times faster, making it ideal for higher-volume print shops.
Does DTG printing require pretreatment?
Yes. Printing on dark or black garments using white ink requires spraying a liquid DTG pretreatment onto the print area and heat-pressing it dry beforehand. This prevents the white ink from soaking into the fabric fibers, ensuring bright colors and wash fastness. For 100% white cotton shirts using CMYK ink only, pretreatment is optional.
